EP65 - So What's Been Happening? - MOZË
MOZË, the ethereal self-produced singer/songwriter relocated from Wangaratta to Melbourne’s creative hub. Now she is set to release her second single, Ruse, via Squinked Records on November 26. After making waves in Melbourne's music scene with her debut single, MOZË proves this is just beginning. 'Ruse' is a perfect showcase for MOZË to re-enter our musical consciousness, pushing femme empowerment to the forefront.
This soulful performance sheds a light on the beauty of femininity. MOZË’s production style gives us a glimpse into the endless styles and genres that she finds influence in, blending RNB with a jazzy-fusion, gospel sound. MOZË has encapsulated her song writing and vocal abilities something both raw and emotional, yet unstoppable. Ruse encompasses MOZË’s experience through a parting friendship. With deep introspection and understanding, she found the courage to confide in herself, and manifest the hurt into creativity. Ruse feels utterly intimate and personal; yet it conveys a rich, exquisite and tender expression of love, loss and growth.
We can't wait to have a chat to MOZË as she performs a few songs from the album live for us. Join us from 8.00pm AEDT Thursday 18th November. Hope you can join us for the chat.

EP64 - So What's Been Happening? - Timothy Wolf

Introspective soulful blues with a hint of 'I'm ready to boogie'. Timothy Wolf is the thrilling new kid on the block with his debut studio album set just released on Oct 22. Wolf began 2021 releasing his debut single and in a year dominated by Covid 19 lockdowns it’s hardly slowed the alt folk/country song-writer down going from strength to strength landing raving Rolling Stone and Triple J reviews, festival and support slots for the likes of the Pierce Brother. This is capped off by three sold out headline shows at iconic Melbourne venues; the Night Cat and back to back nights at the Northcote Social club. The epitome has been saved for the end of the year as Wolf gears up for a career defining album launch at the Corner Hotel. Get on board early, dust off your dancing shoes and introduce yourself to the immersive and boisterous mischief that is Timothy Wolf and The Howlers.

Nkechi Anele’s, Triple J - "Your falsetto is unworldly and your voice by itself is so f&$*ing pure - you're a unicorn."

We cant wait to have a chat to Timothy and twist his arm to play a few songs from the album live for us. Join us from 8.00pm AEDT Thursday 28th October. Hope you can join us for the chat.

EP63 - So What's Been Happening? - Jayden Michael Dunne
Originally from rural town Albury, now based in Melbourne, Jayden Michael Dunne has emerged from his bedroom with a guitar, a haircut and a medium-sized handful of new material. From the canvas of lyric-based acoustic songs, a new brand of folk music is rendered in an array of the loudest and most blithe colours, to the more morose and nostalgic shades, through the addition of string/brass arrangements, electric ambient vibes and a range of acoustic instrumentation. Through an upbringing of blues guitar, jazz piano and folk-oriented lyricism, Jayden Michael Dunne draws comparison to the likes of Gregory Alan Isakov, Glen Hansard and Joni Mitchell, while carving his own unique style in the Australian music scene. We can't wait to have a chat to Jayden about his experiences navigating the high and lows on his musical journey to date.
Join us live on Thursday 21st October at 8.00pm AEDT via Facebook and You tube. Hope you can join us.
