EP32 - So What's Been Happening? - Pollyman (George Carroll WIlson)
Drawing their sound from the past and present of pop and rock, Pollyman conjures the power pop hooks and retro looks of a hard working pub band from the late 70’s era of their native Melbourne. Finding inspiration in such artists as Led Zeppelin, Jeff Buckley, David Bowie and the Small Faces, Pollyman’s unique songwriting and exhilarating live performances feature a soulful blend of rock and roll, glam rock and soul. The band features George Carroll Wilson, showcasing his sensitive yet powerful vocals and dynamic guitar playing with his brother Fenn Wilson, driving the music with intricate yet thunderous drums. The two brothers have been playing music together since they were young boys, cutting their teeth in the Melbourne and coastal music scene and honing their craft from the coastal town of Clifton Springs. The two have been performing as Pollyman regularly in Melbourne and Geelong over the last 14 months, and have already generated an eager and dedicated audience of people young and old. We loved this chance to have a chat to George about his musical journey, what an incredible talent.
