EP140 - So What's Been Happening? - Half Way To Where?
It's a question I have asked myself this week given my 49th birthday celebrations? Is this half way? Half way to where? Where are we heading? times ticking... how do we to let go of the daily baggage that can weigh us down, stop overthinking what's next or what might happen and just enjoy the ride and the trials and tribulations of the rest of our life.... it's easier said than done right?
In the AFL, can the Power defeat the Blues at home and stamp themselves as a genuine premiership contender? Will the Pies be too strong for the unpredictable Dogs? Can the Hawks take another scalp against the Crows? Will Harley Reid's Eagles give another 'don't argue' to the Saints at home in the west? Can the Tigers create another upset for the Cats at the cattery in Geelong? Will the Demons continue to rise above the Dockers in Alice Springs?
Can the Bombers continue their come from the clouds season and lay a foundation to cement a finals birth for the first time in a long time, or will the Suns shine on on the Gold Coast? Can the Tigers defeat the Cats at their home ground? Week off for Lions and win less Kangaroos, are the Swans that good and what about the Giants. We will have a chat and predict the winners and losers for each game. What else is on the agenda? You will have to tune in to see.

EP137 - So What's Been Happening? - Time to Do This !
Here we go with Round 9 of the AFL, it's time to up the energy and effort, no form slumps, arrest momentum and keep on the right side of the WIN-LOSS ledger, thats the secret to 2024. There's about 8 teams that could win the one this year Can the Blues overcome the Demons? they will be super pumped up after a close loss to the Magpies last week.
The Bombers face the Giants in a must win for both teams in a 5th v 3rd on the table clash. Swans on the top of the table which is a surprise to some at this stage of the season, should it be? Where do the Tigers go from here as they are getting close to rock bottom. Beware of the teams sitting 6 to 9 positions on the ladder which are the Dockers, Power and Blues who all play teams above them this week in a chance to show they are the real deal for season 2024.

EP135 - So What's Been Happening? - The Golden Gaytimes
The Golden Gaytimes' original iteration was as The Get Rich Quick Scheme – a cover band full of hijinks and nonsense which seemed to resonate with the audience. When COVID hit and gigging stopped, the burgeoning success of The Get Rich Quick Scheme was cut short.
So, the next thing you know they were writing some originals and did a band trip to Rous Mill Studio to get some tracks down. They recorded five or six of the songs at Rous Mill in August 2021 and then the rest were done over the course of the first half of 2022 at Round the Twist studio. As the single 'I'm Tempted' (400k+ views on YouTube!) establishes, this is a band that thrives on great riffs, heady grooves and a strong sense of fun and irreverence, as Jane-O confirms, "Some of our songs can be a bit dark if you go where they are meant to go. They are hooky and funny and catchy. I’m pretty sure they rock." "This unexpected banger really displays the diversity of talent in the Aussie music scene.
This catchy and irreverent pop and post-punk track has left newly found fans itching for more! Give it a listen, I dare you!" 2SER on 'I'm Tempted' (featured single)
Join in the chat LIVE with Jane-O from The Golden Gaytimes on Monday 29th April from 8.00pm AEST on Facebook and YouTube. See you then.
